This is important not only because it demonstrates quality, but also because it allows COTC students to receive financial aid. It also ensures that credits earned will transfer to other schools if you choose to continue your education. In, Out and On to a Career Finish your education sooner with a two- year degree, one-year certificate or short- term certificate in more than 50 options. Our career programs are meant to help you get immediate employment upon graduation or move into a bachelor’s degree at one of the 26 four-year institutions with which COTC has articulation agreements. Save Money on a Bachelor’s Degree In addition to career programs, COTC offers an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science which fulfill the first two years of a bachelor’s degree. The credits you earn in these degrees transfer to any public, four-year institution in Ohio. You’ll enter as a junior and save money on your bachelor’s degree when you start at COTC. Learn by Doing Most of your time at COTC is spent in a lab learning job skills that help you do well in the workforce. Programs use robotic and simulation technologies to provide reality-based — and sometimes dangerous — scenarios without risk. To apply those classroom concepts to the real world, all students participate in an internship, clinical or practicum. Support to Help You Succeed Students come to COTC with differing academic backgrounds. That’s why COTC provides support on a wide range of subjects for all students for free! The Center for Student Success has tutors, open labs and a learning skills specialist. The Office of Student Life provides disability support, personal counseling, student organizations, fitness facilities and career counseling. Success on Industry Exams Radiologic science technology students achieved a 100% pass rate on the national credentialing examination. Our practical nursing certificate graduates exceeded the national average on the NCLEX-PN by 3%. Peace officer basic training graduates’ scores on the state certification exam were second best among open enrollment academies.
